Microlaryngoscopies is a surgical procedures performed using a laryngoscope. This instrument containing a microscope is inserted through the mouth to thoroughly examine the vocal folds. Using this technique, vocal fold lesions are surgically removed without any external incisions.

Post-operative instructions:

  • Total voice rest is recommended for the first two days and limited talking for the next five days.

  • Avoid smoking after the surgery.

  • Avoid coughing and throat clearing as it may have a harsh impact on voice folds. Try to suppress the coughing sensation by drinking a sip of water.

  • Take the anti-reflux and other medications regularly as per the doctor's instructions.
